This section lists the recommended minimum hardware requirements for running Files Together.

Client Hardware

The application uses a Web browser so the client hardware specification is only determined by the minimum Web browser requirements for the client operating system.

Recommendations for Server Hardware

Each site should have adequate file backup and recovery capabilities. If extended file properties and snap shot control is being used then a database backup strategy should also be put in place.

Use of an Un-interruptible Power Supply (UPS) is recommended.

The amount of disk space required varies widely based on the number of files, archiving plans, and backup policies and version control useage. It is important to try to estimate this prior to installation and to ensure sufficient disk storage to allow for significant growth in the volume of files and database.

The more users the bigger processor and more memory required.
